Good life, great coffee

Curator's Notes

BonLife means "Good Life," and that philosophy runs through everything this roaster does. Founded in 2012 and sourcing directly from farms across Haiti, Ethiopia, Uganda, Burundi, Guatemala, and beyond, BonLife is laser-focused on one thing: ensuring the farmers and workers behind your cup are earning living wages, while delivering coffees that genuinely compete at the highest level. And compete they do. Golden Bean Overall Champion, Good Food Award winner, US Coffee Championship podium finishes. These are some of the most decorated coffees on the Bean Box platform. In the cup, expect bold, expressive, fruit-forward profiles. BonLife has a particular gift for special process coffees that have to be tasted to be believed.

From the Roaster

Every coffee is the story of many people. From the farmer who cares for and harvests the coffee cherries, to the importers who transport the coffee to locations worldwide, to the roasters, the brewers, and finally to the drinkers. At BonLife, we want people to be more aware of the role we all play in improving the lives of those involved in this story. To inspire action, we choose to directly source from farms that produce exceptional quality coffees while also ensuring that farmers and workers are receiving living wages. We strive to positively impact the communities within these regions and regularly visit our farm partnerships. We work directly with farmers in countries such as Haiti, Ethiopia, Uganda, Burundi, Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Bolivia, to just name a few! We want to bring back the coffee business to these phenomenal countries and, with your help, we are doing just that— one farm at a time. We've been striving to do so since 2012, and we've won several awards along the way. BonLife means “Good Life”, and that’s what we are hoping to live and inspire every day. We are excited to share these coffees with you and for you to join us on this story of impact, sustainability, and empowerment. Let's Drink a Better Story!

"Even though it's a naturally processed coffee, the flavors are not overly intense. There are no funky fermented flavors. Overall, a nice clean-tasting coffee combining moderate tartness with bittersweet dark chocolate flavors."
