Imunika is unlike anything else on the Bean Box platform, and we mean that literally. Founded by Jinhu Park, a Cornell-trained fermentation expert based in South Korea, Imunika is the world's first specialty coffee to use full-scale mushroom bio-fermentation. Their patented four-week process integrates a seven-mushroom beta-glucan complex directly into high-altitude green beans from Papua New Guinea, delivering 500mg of beta-glucans per cup without powders, without additives, and without any compromise on flavor. Named the official coffee of APEC 2025 Korea and praised by global leaders as "The Decision-Maker's Coffee," Imunika is rooted in Korea's celebrated fermentation heritage and finished in Seattle by an artisan roasting partner. Imunika is a boutique fermentary redefining what coffee can be. Based in South Korea, we are the world’s first and only to apply full-scale, smart-controlled mushroom bio-fermentation to green coffee beans—transforming them into a patented, wellness-forward beverage without compromising on flavor.
Our story began with loss. In 2020, our founder lost his younger brother, Sean, to cancer—far too early, and just as the pandemic was taking hold. That experience became a turning point—a moment that revealed how health is both deeply personal and universally vital. Using what we knew best—fermentation—we channeled that loss into building a way to integrate the whole-body benefits of powerful mushrooms into something people already love: coffee.
We spent years perfecting a 4-week bio-fermentation process that reinforces each green bean with our patented 7-mushroom beta-glucan complex. The result? Reduced bitterness, lower acidity, and up to 500mg of beta-glucans per serving—supporting gut health, immune function, and smooth, sustained energy.
