Curator's Notes
Noble Coffee Roasting was born from a simple but powerful philosophy: quality matters, and organic matters. Founder Jared Rennie named the company after his grandfather, Noble Dukes, and set out in 2007 with a Probat roaster in his garage and a pallet of green coffee from around the world. Today, Noble is one of the most decorated specialty roasters in the country. Food & Wine's Best Coffee in Oregon in both 2018 and 2022. Eight Good Food Awards. Save some awards for the rest of us, guys! Their barista-driven team is as passionate about coffee education as they are about sourcing, because as they put it, if their customers don't know how to brew it, their goal is incomplete. In the cup, expect beautifully crafted, organic coffees with real depth and a Pacific Northwest soul.
From the Roaster
Since inception, Noble Coffee Roasting has successfully transformed a simple philosophy, “quality matters, and organic matters,” into one of the best, most impact-driven, and award-winning specialty coffee roasters in the country. As a college student, our founder discovered how much happiness could be gained by pouring drinks for grateful customers and by the sweet smell of coffee as it roasted. Years later and working in a ‘real job’, a creeping feeling began to emerge — he missed working with coffee. To fulfill this need, he began roasting and brewing at home. These early experiments eventually became the journey that is now Noble Coffee Roasting. We are a barista driven company made up of people who are passionate about how coffee knowledge and brewing skills can improve lives — from farmer, to roaster, to barista, to customer. As dedicated as we are to creating wonderful coffee, we know that if our customers don't know how to brew it, our goal is incomplete. Our Noble crew is a coffee-loving group of kind folks who are eager to educate, share, and learn. As a company, we aim to create deep and lasting relationships with our suppliers and our customers, whether the interaction is face to face or from afar.
