Today, Sightglass operates two roasteries, four flagship cafes, and over 500 wholesale accounts nationwide, and has quietly become one of the top coffee producers in the world. All of their coffees are USDA Certified Organic, sourced directly from smallholder farms whose commitment to sustainable, freshly harvested coffee matches their own. Small-batch roasting, meticulous attention to detail, and a San Francisco independent spirit that has never wavered. In the cup, expect beautifully crafted, organically sourced coffees with real elegance and a distinctly Californian soul.

Sightglass is an independent, sibling–owned organic coffee company founded in California. What began in 2009 with a leaky espresso machine behind a roll-up door in an old SF warehouse has now become two roasteries, four flagship cafés, and over 500 wholesale accounts nationwide. With an unflinching commitment to quality, sourcing, and coffee experiences, we have quietly become one of the top coffee producers in the world.
Our coffee is sourced directly from producers worldwide who share our devotion to freshly harvested coffee and sustainable farming. We proudly offer USDA-certified organic coffee. Beginning in 2024, all of our grocery offerings will be USDA Certified Organic by CCOF.
At our facilities, we take great pride in the art of coffee roasting. We understand that each cup of coffee is unique and warrants the utmost attention to detail. That’s why we roast only in small batches, ensuring that every bean is afforded the time and care required to achieve its full expression.
We work closely with smallholder farms to improve the quality of coffee by providing resources and support to help them cultivate the best possible beans. We believe that by collaborating with these farmers, we can help them achieve sustainable and profitable farming practices that benefit both the environment and their communities
